- Senior Web
Developer -- 1997 - 2000.
Over three years I played lead roles in both the design and
implementation of major enhancements to the award winning NECX Direct Web server. This included major Business to
Business initiatives involving Co-Branding of the site with major
educational and commercial enterprises,
Enterprise Purchasing arrangements with MIT, user account management
services and advanced
search and retrieval capabilities on the site. A major accomplishment
was the design and implementation
of one of the most advanced JavaScript/CGI search tools on the internet
today, allowing users to search for products by specifications.

-- 1995 - 1997. My first assignment is with NECX in Peabody, MA. I am
writing C and UNIX CGI programs for the NECX Direct Web server. The CGI
programs interface the WWW front end with an SQL relational database and
EDI backend. The NECX server offers over 20,000 items for sale directly

- Senior Software
Engineer -- 1989 - 1994. Conceived, designed and implemented a
Hypertext server accessible from the world wide Internet. This World-Wide-Web server accessed with
the Mosaic WWW client included an on-line catalog of DeLorme products,
the taking of on-line orders, interactive product demonstrations,
ordering information and technical support documents. This opened up
DeLorme products to the 30 million Internet users. It averaged 30,000
file downloads per week and was implemented on an IBM PC running Windows
NT 3.5
Prior to this I was responsible for the design and implementation of all
DeLorme's database server software which maintains real-time simultaneous links
between multi-vendor database servers and applications and DeLorme's XMap
mapping display software. This included design of a Client/Server system with
communication interfaces using both the Dynamic Data Exchange and Sockets
protocols, allowing the display of user information as graphical objects
overlaid on computer generated maps.
